 Our By-Laws

Article I-Officers;

• The officers of Local 013 shall consist of, President, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Vice Presidents, Treasurer and Secretary. 

Article II-Meetings;

• A treasurers report shall be given at every general membership meeting and every Executive Board meeting.
• A quorum at a general membership meeting shall be the number of eligible voting members present, excluding Executive officers.

Article III-Committees;

• A Local officer shall serve as advisor to all committees.
• Grievance committee shall consist of trained and duly appointed Stewards and Grievance Representatives.
• All Stewards must present a petition signed by a majority of the members at their work location in order to be appointed to a steward position.
• Grievance Representatives and Stewards are expected to attend all general membership meetings and their committee meetings unless excused by the President or the committee chair.

Article IV-Responsibility;

• Officers are expected to attend and be punctual for all meetings.
• All officers are expected to be on time for all functions of the local.
• Officers are expected to stay at all meetings and functions until excused by the president.
• Officers are expected to be prepared to give reports on classes, general sessions and any other event attended on behalf of the Local.
• All officers are expected to contact the president or the highest ranking officer present if unable to abide by any of these expectations due to emergency, illness, accident, injury or any other  or reason.

Article V-Penalties;

Failure to abide by any by-law may result in one or more of the following penalties;

• 1st offense- may be a verbal warning
• 2nd offense-may be a written warning
• 3rd offense- may result in referral for possible Judicial Board action
